Candidate should have at least 5 years experience in ECE leadership, supervision and at least a baccalaureate degree with 24 credits in ECE, CD, EIEd or EC Special Education AND nine credits in administration, leadership, or management. Successful candidates will demonstrate an aptitude for:
- Leading staff in current early childhood practices
- Decision making and problem solving
- Nurturing a learning environment for children, families and staff
- Maintaining positive parent-school relationships, jointly with teachers
- Organizing staffing, enrollments, grant-writing, fundraising and budgets
- Effective written and oral communication
- Guiding staff in maintenance of health and safety regulations and NAEYC standards

St. Thomas Preschool & Kindergarten (Tucson, AZ) is seeking to fill the following early childhood professional positions for the 2011-2012 School Year:
Before/Aftercare Coordinator: This part time position hours will be Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Job responsibilities will include: opening and closing the school, planning small group activities, lesson planning, knowledge of AZ Early Learning Standards, and other duties as assigned.
Enrichment Specialist: This part time position hours will be Monday-Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. Job responsibilities will include: lesson planning for enrichment classes-gardening, music (basic beat, rhythm, tempo,patterning and tone), movement, and any other areas of specialty this individual may have to offer our program.
Pre-Kindergarten (4 year old) Teacher: This full time position hours will be Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Salary based and full benefit package.
Education/Experience: bachelor's degree or associates degree with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate or Elementary Education Certificate, prior experience in an early childhood classroom setting preferred 4 year old experience, knowledge of NAEYC criteria, Developmentally Appropriate learning centers, and learning environment. Job responsibilities will include: Knowledge of AZ Early Learning Standards, Emergent Curriculum, lesson planning, teacher-parent conference, and individual working portfolios.
