Members in the Making - Professional Development Opportunity
February 7, 2011The AzAEYC Board invites you to apply for Members in the Making: an exciting opportunity for student or early career professionals. The year-long program will provide you a unique new member experience and engage you in the benefits and work of the world’s largest and most influential early childhood professional organization.
Selected applicants will receive:
- A complimentary 1-year membership in AzAEYC, national membership in NAEYC, and membership in a local affiliate (Northern AzAEYC, Valley of the Sun AEYC [Maricopa County], Central AzAEYC [Pinal County]; Southern AzAEYC; or Yuma County AEYC)
- A complimentary copy of Mind in the Making by Ellen Galinsky
- Coaching by a professional mentor with significant early childhood experience including regular contact via teleconferencing and social networking
- Complimentary registration to the AzAEYC statewide early childhood conference in July 2011, at which Ellen Galinsky will be the keynote speaker
- Opportunities to meet and network with state department of education early childhood leaders, school district administrators and AzAEYC leaders.
Qualifications:
To qualify, student participants must be enrolled in a 2-year or 4-year undergraduate or graduate early childhood degree program (graduate programs may be in related fields with a clear focus or concentration in early childhood). Early career participants must be within the first two years of graduating with an associates, bachelors, or graduate degree in early childhood (or related field) and be currently employed as an early childhood professional.
